Occupational health and Safety

Occupational health and safety is a whole, not as a word, but as a process. The concept of occupational health describes how to do a job in a healthy quality from the beginning to the end. The concept of “and safety” means that this job is also completed safely.

After the planning and organization of a job is done, the implementation phase of that job starts. In the meantime, one of the things you need exactly is Occupational Health and Safety programs and trainings. These indispensable programs will ensure that the works and employees complete the whole process from the beginning to the end of the work that is planned to be started in the most healthy way. It will do this as follows; first of all, expert staff will carry out risk analyzes of the working area. These analyzes will be shared with the whole team and necessary trainings will be provided after making plans and programs with the authorities of the work site. In fact, the main purpose here is to protect the health of the employees first, and then to ensure the safety of work and production. Otherwise, no phenomenon that puts human health and safety in the background can be called systematic or scientific, even close to science.

Whose Job is OHS?

OHS is a team work. If there is no total study and preparation, if there is no training, occupational accidents will become inevitable. All employees should attend the trainings that will start with the leader. OHS meetings, practices, trainings and controls will be held at the enterprises with more than a certain number of employees, according to the hazard classes, necessary measures will be reviewed, and always better will be targeted based on the principle of continuous improvement within the seriousness of issues such as environmental management, quality and standard. Necessary equipment and training must be provided for new employees. Otherwise, as a result of the seriousness to be made, irreversible losses are waiting at the door. To give an example of these, not only for human health; disruption of the current work in practice-production will occur with a very high probability. There will be a large loss of machinery and equipment, and material losses will increase due to the need to replace them. Since there will be situations contrary to the Labor Laws, financial penalties on the enterprise will be inevitable. When all these reasons are collected and interpreted, the clearest result is that; OHS is definitely a team work.
